Most Kerr County, Texas, offices will be closed for a one-day Easter holiday on Good Friday, April 3.

Among the local governmental offices that will shut their doors that day are the departments located in the following county locations:

  • Kerr County Courthouse at 700 Main Street in Kerrville,

  • West Kerr County Courthouse Annex at 510 College Street in Ingram, and the

  • Allie Burton Annex at 550 Earl Garrett Street.

County offices will be open on Easter Monday, April 6, with business hours returning to normal. For specific operating hours of a particular county office, refer to its individual, departmental page on this website.

Kerr County residents and those in the area for the holiday are assured that, while many county employees are taking a break in action, it will not affect emergency services. All fire departments, EMS, law enforcement entities, etc. will continue to function without interruption.

Likewise, since the county commissioners’ court meets regularly on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, the holiday will not impact its meeting schedule. The next, regular open meeting is planned for Monday, April 13.

Other county holidays

After the upcoming day off in April, the next time county offices are scheduled to close is on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. The entire community is invited to join local leaders that morning at the Kerr County War Memorial on the courthouse grounds, 700 Main Street in Kerrville, to honor all fallen U.S. military heroes during the county-hosted annual Memorial Day program.

Other upcoming approved county holidays include:

  • July 3 (Friday) for Independence Day

  • Sept. 7 (Monday) for Labor Day

Any other remaining county closures this calendar year will be announced once the 2026-27 Kerr County Holiday Schedule is approved as part of the budget process, which occurs in the late summer.
