Indian Creek Road closure planned starting March 6
Motorists in the western portion of Kerr County are being notified that Indian Creek Road over the Guadalupe, located south of Old Ingram Loop, will be closed for repairs starting Friday, March 6, after 5 p.m.
Work is expected to take a little over a week for guardrails damaged in the July 4, 2025, flooding disaster to be replaced, according to Kerr County Road and Bridge Administrator Kelly Hoffer.
The road will be closed on Friday, March 6, and water barriers will be removed on Saturday, March 7. Then, the road will continue to be closed while guardrail repairs on and near the bridge are being made from Sunday, March 8, through Sunday, March 14.
“Kerr County arranged for the Indian Creek Road closure to occur during the Ingram ISD spring break to minimize interruptions to the community's daily commutes. We expect the road work to be completed prior to school opening again. We appreciate the public's patience while the road repairs are completed,” Hoffer said.
Drivers in the area are asked to follow detour routes for the duration of this project.
On Friday, Feb. 27, the Kerr County Road and Bridge Department began posting appropriate signage along the roadways to further alert the public to the impending closure. Notices were also given on the county’s official website: www.kerrcountytx.gov and posted on the county’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/kerrcountytexas
The reopening of the bridge is tentatively set for Sunday, March 15, although this schedule may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
